Terms of Service

Last updated: July 17, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using QalbeQal, including the iOS app, custom keyboard, Mac client, Telegram bot, website, or related services, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use QalbeQal.

2. What QalbeQal provides

QalbeQal provides Amharic-first speech-to-text dictation, ways to review and reuse transcripts, accounts, optional training contribution tools, and related service features.

QalbeQal is not a translation, summarization, legal, medical, financial, or emergency service.

3. Your responsibility

Use QalbeQal only for audio and text you are allowed to process. Do not use it to violate law, another person's rights, service limits, or the security of QalbeQal or its providers.

You are responsible for reviewing transcripts before sending, publishing, or relying on them. Speech recognition can omit or misinterpret words, names, numbers, and punctuation.

4. Cloud processing

Transcription requires network access and uses QalbeQal's cloud service and speech-processing providers. Optional features may use additional providers after you enable them. Availability, limits, and results can change.

5. Text cleanup

Optional text cleanup is intended to repair punctuation, spacing, and spelling—not to change meaning, translate, summarize, or rewrite what you said. Speech recognition and language processing can still be wrong. Review the final text.

6. Accounts

You may use QalbeQal anonymously where supported. Creating an account can keep usage and future paid access associated with you across devices. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.

If the app lets you delete your account, that action removes the Supabase Auth account. Server-side usage records or training contributions associated with your device or account can also be requested for deletion by contacting support.

7. Training consent

Ordinary dictation does not grant permission to train on your recordings or transcripts. QalbeQal may use a recording and transcript for model training only after a separate optional opt-in that is off by default. You can withdraw that choice for future contributions and request deletion of prior contributions.

8. Plans and limits

QalbeQal may apply clip-length, daily-usage, abuse-prevention, and plan limits. Complimentary or allowlisted access may be changed or removed. Any paid plan, renewal, cancellation, or refund terms will be shown before purchase.

9. Prohibited uses

Do not attempt to extract provider keys, bypass quotas, overload queues, interfere with the service, upload malware, impersonate others, process audio without appropriate rights or consent, or use QalbeQal for unlawful or harmful activity.

10. Ownership

You retain rights you have in your audio and text. QalbeQal retains rights in the app, service, design, brand, and software. Optional training contributions grant QalbeQal permission to use those contributed recordings and transcripts to improve Amharic speech-to-text (STT), as described at the time of consent.

11. Availability and changes

QalbeQal is provided as available. The service may be interrupted, delayed, or changed as speech providers and infrastructure evolve. We may suspend abusive use or use that threatens the service. Material changes to these terms will be reflected in an updated effective date.

12. No accuracy guarantee

QalbeQal does not guarantee perfect transcription, punctuation, spelling, uptime, or compatibility with every accent, language mix, device, app, or network condition.

13. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QalbeQal is provided without warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid QalbeQal in the twelve months before the claim.

14. Ending access

You may stop using QalbeQal at any time. We may suspend access that is abusive, unlawful, threatens the service, or repeatedly bypasses limits. Provisions that logically continue—such as ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—survive termination.

15. Contact

For support, privacy, deletion, or terms questions, contact us through the QalbeQal Telegram bot: @QalbeQalbot, or by email at hello@yaredstudio.com. Messages sent to the bot are forwarded to the team.
